MWC 2011 : HTC

HTC has unleashed a myriad of phones (and a tablet) for the world's delight. And here they are.

Incredible S

The Incredible S features the same rugged, industrial, topographical back as the Droid Incredible but will be launched worldwide without any red highlights. It will run on a 1GHz processor and have a larger 4 inch screen. It also has 768 MB of RAM, and 8 and 1.3 megapixel cameras. The capacitive backlit buttons also rotate along with the screen and accelorometer making this device just that much cooler. The Incredible S will ship with Froyo in Q2.

Desire S

The Desire S is largely the same as its predecessor albeit with a new darker shell. That means 1GHz processor, 3.7 inch WVGA screen, 5 megapixel camera and a new front facing camera. What makes this device special is that it will ship with Android 2.4 (Ice Cream?) sometime in Q2.

Wildfire S

HTC's new budget phone, the Wildfire S, has just a 600 MHz processor and a 3.2 inch (480x320) screen. It is, however, and HTC phone and has much better build quality and generally looks more sophisticated than most budget phones. Without a keyboard, however, the software keyboard will obviously be too small for many.

ChaCha
The rumored Facebook phone is finally here. Or rather, one of them is displayed above. Facebook apparently hopes to carry its branding to many phones in the future. Its mark is left in the form of a little blue Facebook button on the bottom of the phone and when pressed allows you to share content from whatever application you are currently in. The ChaCha has just a 2.6 inch screen but also has a full portrait QWERTY keyboard to update your status every 5 seconds. HTC's Sense has been Facebookified with Facebook centric widgets and will run atop Gingerbread.

Salsa
A ChaCha without the keyboard, the Salsa is HTC's second Facebook phone offering. Featuring a larger 3.4 inch screen, the Salsa has no physical keyboard. It will be powered by just a 600 MHz processor and will post 5 megapixel profile pictures from its camera.

Flyer
HTC's long awaited tablet is finally here. The 7-inch Flyer blazes upon a 1024x600 screen by way of its beastly 1.5 GHz processor. It will run Android 2.4 (Ice Cream?) but will be highly customized and tablet optimized by HTC. It will also come wiht a pressure sensitive stylus.
