Microsoft's newest reincarnation of Windows has finally overtaken Windows XP as the dominant OS globally. It leads with 40% market share followed by XP's 38% and Vista's negligible 11%. It took a full two years but Windows 7 is finally ahead. At least until the metro UI rocking big 8 comes out.
